Safe Environment
In a licensed dayhome, your educator completes a police (vulnerable sector) and child welfare intervention check. Anyone else (18 and over) living in an educator home has a police and child welfare intervention check. Your day home is regularly monitored for safety and programming standards

A Day Home Educator is an individual that provides professional child care services in a home setting, meeting the Alberta Family Day Home Standards. Educators receive ongoing professional development to support their work in early learning and have access to resources that promote quality programming that supports early childhood development.
